here I come

Inspired by my lovely friend in Nashville (Marigny), I’m going to start recording a few thoughts and finds here to share with loved ones.  Perhaps no one will ever read my thoughts, but I’ll at least gain something from recording them.  I find every day to be interesting, but writing about a find or book I’m reading will challenge me to be a little bit more aware of how to share those things which help me to enjoy life.

Since I’ve admitted that I stole this idea from a good friend, it’s only fitting that my first entry is also a borrowed link from my friend Sarah in New York. This is a short video of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s gallery photographer speaking about the importance of light in both spaces and paintings.  I especially like his comment that you never look at a good painting, you look into it.

thanks for dropping by!

Martha! Can’t wait to read your thoughts and feel a little bit more connected to you in your mountain home.

Thank you for the Connections plug! Just so you know there are more episodes posted every Wednesday throughout the year, so keep checking back! I’ve been tempted to blog myself, so maybe you’ll inspire me to start. Until then, editing Connections keeps me sustained by others’ musings, and now I have yours too!
